Why choose boules?
There are many distinct advantages in choosing boules in front of edged planks.
- The quality is already high from the start - much higher than for the edged.
- We select only the best out of the forest, butt log / veneer stock - no other stock.
- The stock is approximately a minimum of 22 cm at the top and even coarser.
- Tight annual growth rings with high core portion give hard and good timber.
- We dry with the wane on the timber that provides a longer but slower drying time.
- Higher quality, minimal cracking, straighter timber (not twisted).
You get a straighter and a dimensionally more stable pieces of timber.
- From the unedge bouls, you can also get a large proportion of wood pieces with annual growth rings half-standing or standing.
- Unedged planks are suitable for joinery, as there are many dimensions of good quality available.
- There are wide planks available from which you can easily get out curved wood pieces.
